Oracle has announced two new models of its Oracle Database Appliance to bring the performance and reliability of Oracle Engineered Systems to small and mid-sized businesses.

Oracle unveiled two new models of its Oracle Database Appliance to bring the performance and reliability of Oracle's Engineered Systems to small and mid-sized businesses. It is a move aimed to enable the businesses to simplify their journey to the cloud. The focal point of launching new versions of the ODA is support for the Oracle Database Standard Edition 2 and Oracle Database Enterprise Edition.
 
As it is an a pre-integrated solution that is optimized for the database and the cloud, it eases problem of many organizations that do not have the time, resources, or expertise to build their own system and often struggle managing different platforms and systems.
 
Karen Sigman, VP, Converged Infrastructure, Oracle said,

By offering a pre-integrated solution that is optimized for the database and the cloud, Oracle allows organizations of all sizes to free up their IT staff from maintenance and other routine tasks to focus on innovation and core business processes.”
